Hubby’s building a fire in the barn heater for the guineas and barn cats. They like roasting marshmallows when it’s cold.

I have a fire in the fireplace and about to cook two pot roasts. I like cooking large batches and freezing for quick meals later. (Anything to minimize kitchen time!)

We’ve already taken care of errands.
Staying home and keeping watch over the animals.
It’s very windy here.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., defended the spending bill.
“Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now according to most Republicans,” McConnell said. “That’s how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment.”
Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., defended the bill, saying that it would help Afghan refugees.

We’re pretty good for food and stuff.
The pantry is loaded!
In the kitchen,we have a small, modest dining room sideboard
that someone turned into a bar!
It holds canned goods now.
The freezer above the fridge and the small deep
freeze (dishwasher size) is fully loaded.
(that one’s in the basement)
We have a propane fireplace in the living room and
the kitchen wood cook stove in the kitchen.
We also have a generator that we
can start up to get water from the well.
We good!
Don’t worry too much if you don’t hear from us after the storm hits, ok?
