SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - Paul Pelosi attack suspect David DePape briefly appeared in federal court Wednesday, where prosecutors told the court they are engaged in “substantial discovery” of evidence in the case.
DePape, 42, of the San Francisco suburb Richmond, is accused of violently attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer at the couple's San Francisco home in October. He also faces charges in state court.

DePape, who remains in custody with the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Department, appeared in court cuffed in orange alongside his lawyer, Angela Chuang from the Office of the Federal Public Defender.
The federal government’s lead attorney Laura Vartain told U.S. District Court Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley that in the last three weeks, prosecutors have been handling “substantial discovery” of evidence for their case. She said they should be able to wrap up that process by the end of the year, and asked to return to court on Feb. 8. Chaung agreed that will be sufficient time to present to the court.
When Corley asked how the feds are coordinating with the state case, Vartain said she speaks with San Francisco prosecutors often.
Corley set a hearing for Feb. 8 to review discovery.
DePape has also pleaded not guilty to all charges brought by the San Francisco County DA, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, residential burglary, false imprisonment and threatening the life of or causing serious bodily harm to a public official. A preliminary hearing in that case is set for Dec. 14.

There will never be any testimony under oath from De Pape, Pelosi of the cops who responded. Nor will the surveillance videos or the body cap videos ever be seen by the public. De Pape will be paid off to remain silent, plead guilty, sentenced to time served and be quickly deported to Canada.

Pelosi probably used his ‘Safe word’ and DePape did not untie him. That’s probably a crime in SF, BDSM circles.

So prosecutors will take a plea deal of trespassing with time served as punishment. Also a gag order for the perp and others involved. And no bestselling book (extension of the serial killer profiting prohibition law to include this guy).
Same thing when they kept recirculating Trayyvon’s pic as a 12 year kid as that’s what image they wanted and that was all agreed upon by the media, Fox no exception.

Seriously, what could they possibly be discovering that would take any time at all? Assuming the story reported by the police is true, a hammer, fingerprints, and a broken window should be enough to convict. Unless they are trying to prove the assailant conspired wit Trump.

Of course. Paul Pelosi was out and found a homosexual prostitute to take home for fun and games. DePape, for whatever reason, started to go out of control, so Pelosi called the police. When the police got there, he had calmed down, or so it seemed. In an instant, when Pelosi had his guard down, Depape smacked him with the hammer.
Paul Pelosi was on his knees either catching or pitching.
This ain’t rocket surgery.
They are going to drag this out as long as they can to get it out of the news cycle.
What discovering? Well, It’s a maybe that the cops want to discover when Nanzi is no longer speaker of the house. Might help keep their jobs safer?
Republicans need to form an investigative committee to delve into this matter of national security!
