A self-described “socially awkward” third-year law student at the University of Idaho has denied rumors that he's the at-large culprit responsible for the murder of four students inside an off-campus home earlier this month.
Police are still investigating the quadruple murders that occurred on Nov. 13, with officials confirming they still have not identified a suspect or found a murder weapon. Third-year student Jeremy Reagan responded to rumors that he may be the one behind the murders during an interview with CourtTV on Tuesday, telling reporters he has “nothing to hide.”
“I’m willing to give DNA, fingerprints, whatever they need,” he said. “I’m naturally an awkward person, just my mannerisms, the way I talk … my natural person, just a little bit socially awkward, so I might smile at points that I shouldn’t. I might make weird hand movements when I shouldn’t.”
Prosecutors approached Reagan for questioning earlier this week but didn’t request DNA sampling from him, he told the outlet. However, he noted that he agreed to come down to the station for further questioning if it was deemed necessary.
However, the “ruthless” online rumors, as Reagan describes them, have prompted the law student to begin carrying a gun around campus, he said.
“They’ve already contacted my friends asking questions about me,” Reagan said. “And so who knows if someone’s going to go so far as to try and confront me in person?”
Reagan previously told the New York Post that he didn’t know the victims but that he would often walk past the house where they were murdered a couple of times a week to walk his dog.
“There were parties that were kind of loud,” he said. “As I would take my dog in and out to go to the bathroom, I would just be walking by, [and] I would look up, and I would see people in the windows almost every night, probably four or five nights a week.”
The victims have been identified as university students Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21. Each was murdered in bed and was stabbed in both the chest and upper body with a large knife.
Police have ruled out the two surviving roommates, as well as additional friends who were in the home at the time of the 911 call, as suspects in their investigation.
The dog knew the guy, but it likely was not the ex-boyfriend.
Yeah, well whatever.
Well, I need to clarify my statement. There's nothing to say the dog didn't bark. But if it had, you'd think someone would have awoken. Unless they were passed out drugged or drunk. Supposedly one girl had defensive wounds. She may have been the only one who was alert enough to try to fight back.

It's Moscow, ID. In Latah County, college students would more likely have a copy of Mao's Little Red Book than knives. Latah and Blaine Counties are commie enclaves in an otherwise normal state. Blaine County is where Sun Valley ski resort is.
Is this the university where Sarah Palin graduated?...............
It's possible he knows Paul Pelosi.
It's possible he knows Paul Pelosi.
Or he's a retire 'Intelligence' thug who earned his chops signing and helping publish a letter that was lie that helped swing an election.
Finally, the walls are closing in on Reagan.
I need to watch that movie again.
cops already said they are holding much information back, cause they want to see if someone they question knows something that only the perp would know. Standard way to let the behaviour of the perp give him(her)self away.
Yes. Sounds autistic.
I heard the killer locked the victims bedroom doors and that survivirs couldn’t get in, called the police saying they were “unresponsive” meaning they wouldn’t respond to their knocks, calls or attempts to open the doors.
Not every socially awkward individual is a serial killer in training. My son has Asbergers, is socially awkward, and instead of being the killer, he would be the one to stop the killer.
An autist Renoir Or hunter biden
“denies rumors he’s the killer”
well, is he denying the rumors or denying that he’s the killer ... besides, you wouldn’t expect the killer to admit it either way ...
“I think he was interviewed on Fox News last week…..I remember the ‘3rd year law student who lived next door’”
but did he keep his lawn mowed? ... that’s a sure sign he’s a serial killer ... after all, all the neighbors of serial killers complement the fact that they kept their lawns mowed, the most important behavior for “being a good neighbor” ...
I was thinking about that. Washington state at Pullman being right across the border. When I was 18 and a senior in high school I took a trip to Pullman to see if I wanted to go to college there and it happened to be in March when the St. Patrick’s Day weekend was. All the kids from WA State we’re going over to Moscow to drink because you could drink when you were 18 over there and they had green beer. So I’m sure there’s lots of interaction between the two colleges even today.
Palin graduated? Yes she did-—majored in journalism. She was born north of Moscow but grew up in AK, then back to school at UI.
I recall that many of the WASU’s couldn’t hold their likker very well. Taught a few of them better manners. And gave a few a ride home to Pullman. The only one I actually remember was a chick who I hauled home on my Harley. I told her we could switch to my pickup but she was cool with the bike. Never saw her again but I expect she remembers that ride. That was 1965 and I expect it hasn’t changed much except for the knife murderers? But is a deffernt time-—all my friends were VETS and that just ain’t there any more.
