This was the first entire soccer game I’ve ever watched. The U.S. played well.
I keep saying that the field is too big. It needs to be reduced to more like a football field. The players wouldn’t get quite as tired and it should pick up the speed of the game and the scoring.
I’ve played on smaller fields. Players get tired on those too. Have you ever watched arena soccer? Very fast paced game.
Ditch the offside b.s. to have lines like they do in hockey. Penalize the bad actors who grab their head when their ankle is touched and fall to the ground writhing in pain. Doing so will make soccer more appealing to Americans. Otherwise, it’ll always be a sport for twat-knot wearing wankers.
You've never played soccer, have you? The tighter the space, the easier to defend. There would be fewer goals not more.
Indoor doesn't count as the walls keep the ball in play no matter what so you get lots of ricochet chances and you don't lose possession out of bounds.
I think we should insist that it be played on a hockey rink sized pitch. I bet it would speed up a little bit.
