Well, Mr. Claret was just diagnosed with the Coof. He is getting a prescription of ivermectin from the Dr., but I want to take some of my horse paste as a preventative and I can’t remember if I’m supposed to take 1 dose per day and if so for how many days? I’ve printed out so much info that I can’t find what I need! It’s just a mess of paper! Help! ThanQ in advance!
IIRC dosage is day 1, day 3, then day 7;
LJ can you check if I’m right?
Did you get the paste info? I don’t know about paste dosages.
I’ve been following today’s discussion with great interest today! Thanks to all for such wisdom, insight, research and camaraderie! I’m most grateful!

Dosage for Paste-
The tube that the horse paste comes in has a built in measuring “clicker”. For reference, one tube is a single dose for a 1250 pound horse, so you know an adult human dose will be roughly one-sixth of a tube. The dosage is exactly the same as described above: As a prophylactic, the convention is now pretty much to take it monthly.
If a person is already feeling sick, the treatment dose is THREE doses, but spaced 48 hours apart. So one dose on Monday, the next on Wednesday, the next on Friday, for example. The 48 hour spacing has to do with the liver’s speed at metabolizing Ivermectin. The 48 hour spacing MAXIMIZES the efficacy of the drug in the body.
Butting in to make sure you take some zinc with the ivermectin. ~~~~~~~~~~
and quercetin, not at the same time.
recommended 12 hours difference
the Mott’s cinnamon flavored apple sauce completely hides the taste.
