Somebody tossed an 11-year-old dog out at the end of my driveway, and I adopted her. I have had her teeth cleaned twice for a total of over $1200 and the bloodwork prior to the last one showed elevated enzymes. She had a liver ultrasound and fine needle aspiration biopsy of the liver done and nothing was found. The Vet recommended liver supplements plus milk thistle so she’s taking them. They said not to worry about it, keep giving her the supplements, and have the enzymes checked at her annual exams. She’s a sweet old girl so I hope the supplements work.
My rescue girl was just diagnosed with copper storage disease and CAH last month after a laparoscopic biopsy and one of the many daily supps she is on (9 total with the d-pen medicine) that the Cornell liver specialist recommended was PhosChol. I buy this one:

You can also buy a pill form from the same company:

They tested her for Copper Storage Disease too when they did the biopsy. Her Vet said they have seen a huge uptick in that recently but don’t know why unless too much copper is being added to commercial dog food. She tested negative for that, thank goodness! Prior to the ultrasound and biopsy, I had her tested for Cushings. It was negative.
She’s on Denosyl, K9 Melatonin with Lignans, and Milk Thistle right now. I’ll look up the supplement you mentioned.
