Relatively young population. Plenty of vitamin D3, the sunshine vitamin. Hydroxychloroquine for treatment and as a prophylaxis for Malaria. Ivermectin as treatment and prophylaxis for river blindness.

I might add, those who didn’t die in early childhood probably have a very active immune system. Without sounding too cynical, maybe the scarcity of doctors might have helped.
