Americans will soon be gathering for their Thanksgiving feast. But there are certain “Turkey Day” dishes that many people aren’t thankful to see on the table or their plate. A travel website, The Vacationer, surveyed 1,092 adults to find the most disliked Thanksgiving foods. Cranberry sauce tops the list with nearly 30% of those surveyed opting to pass on it. The second most disliked food is Turkey! Yes, turkey!!! (Whaaat??) Followed by sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and stuffing (or dressing for those of you in the South). So, if you’re doing the cooking this year, take note, plan accordingly and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
1 Cranberry Sauce (29.92% dislike) 2 Turkey (28.09% dislike) 3 Sweet Potatoes or Yams (24.25% dislike) 4 Green Bean Casserole (24.61% dislike) 5 Stuffing or Dressing (23.42% dislike) 6 Coleslaw (21.68% dislike) 7 Ham (21.23% dislike) 8 Pumpkin Pie (20.77% dislike) 9 Mashed Potatoes (17.57% dislike) 10 Macaroni and Cheese (14.73% dislike) 11 Corn (13.82% dislike) 12 Carrots (12.08% dislike)
I think a lot of dislikes are because of bad cooks, I love lamb many loath it cuz mom offed it up.
I love BBQ unagi (eel). I’ll have your share.
Don’t forget butter.
And by the way... Notice the media, pop culture whores, and liberals starting to use “Friendsgiving” now??? This is the first year I ever heard of it. Gotta erase all history so they can create a new one.
You can have my take, I’m keeping the unagi
Tako
Doughy rolls...agreed. However...since I was a child in the 70’s, I always added a scoop of dressing in the roll with butter. 50 years later, and it’s still my go to snack after thanksgiving. CARBS!!!!
Yep, by the time I was a teenager, there was the “You know where the peanut butter jar is” option.
I don’t know if I ever exercised that one. I liked almost everything and it didn’t hurt that my mom was an artist in the kitchen.
But she also would be quick to point out that she wasn’t a short order cook and what was on the table for dinner was what we were getting. Take it or leave it.
When I'm in Paris, I seek French food. But this is an interesting suggestion
The only people who hate Brussles Sprouts are those who have not had them prepared properly.
Just a warning......the prices are astronomical..
My dislikes are:
1. Dark meat turkey and the organs, like gizzard or liver
2. Stuffing - I like dressing cooked outside the bird
3. Any variation on regular cornbread dressing - I want to
taste chicken flavor from chicken stock, sage, celery,
onions, etc. I do not want to taste sausage or oysters.
I made Brussel Sprouts with bacon and they were a big hit ——— even with those who do not like Brussel Sprouts.
At family dinners we also have a no political talk rule!
Absolutely!
Stuffing and meatloaf. Everyone’s is different, but all are good.
One year Ocean Spray canned the delectable cranberries with no ridges......the ntl outcry made them bring the ridged cans back.

I was brought up.......knowing......the only reason for turkey is to have cranberry sauce.
My mother hasn’t cooked a turkey in decades. She bakes chicken breasts and the chicken meat is always moist. The cooking time is faster too.
What, more than $7.99 a piece?
Wow, remember back when Bloom County was funny?
Those were the days. :P
