I’m inclined to feel some sympathy for Harry. It must have been difficult to lose his mother when he did...and the way he did. But that washed up nobody he married is,as a country song once observed,”forty miles of bad road”.

If they had an brains or decent advisers they would DECLINE the award. RFK Jr was right about them winning the award. Makes no sense. It’s to sell tickets.

Actually, I thought their titles were already taken away when they gave up their royal duties and place in the hierarchy. It figures that the one “black” that the royal family accepted into their ranks would spit in their faces and call them racist. Megan Markle is a spoiled brat that has to have everything her way. I am waiting for Harry to throw up his hands and just leave her. He would be smart if he did.

“A British author has called for King Charles III to remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles “
Charles is honoring the wishes of his mother. These are the titles she wanted them to have.
As far as an award...it’s dumb. But I guess it’s his way of trying to make amends with his son.

No. Don’t give them something else to complain about.
Meghan will complain regardless. She shouldn't be doing it on "Duchess of Sussex" stationery (which she has been, despite being told not to use her title for commercial purposes).

I don’t have any sympathy for him, I’ve long suspected he wanted “out” but was too much of a coward and too lazy to do his own dirty work. He found someone with the same juvenile outlook who is fairly good at the hustle.

Harry basically married his mother. Diana was by all accounts nuts, most probably Borderline Personality Disorder and Meghan if not that is at least a narcissist and histrionic. Borderline intersects all those personality disorders thus the term borderline. Harry is also a cuck. One thing I’ll say for Charles, he got out of his marriage to Diana and married Camilla. She does seem to have been his true love. If you watch the Crown (and even if it’s only half true), the whole of the Royal Family is beyond screwed up and much of the blame is placed on the Queen and moreso the “System”.

BINGO!

True. I agree - especially don’t do it using the “Duchess of Sussex” stationery.

Another reason why I'm inclined to have sympathy for him is a video I've seen of him,in his Army dress uniform, laying a wreath at our Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He surely served honorably in the British Army...and that goes a long way with me.
Just sayin'...

MM’s goal was to be forever safely settled in as royalty.
Two problems with the original plan. She didn’t want to do any actual work, and being a working royal means duty as well as pageantry, and not always on your schedule. Second, she thought she would be able to manipulate herself into a position of ordering other people around, underestimating the power of 1,000 years of rules and traditions. When she couldn’t even bring herself to curtsey to the queen when walking down the aisle in her virginal white wedding giwn and veil, she revealed all. And yes, she seethes atKatherine.
