Russia is using primarily mercenary troops in the Ukraine. I heard a couple weeks ago they might send in regular troopsThat is false. It was using regular troops in Hostomel (which they lost and lost their entire elite paratroopers, the VDV) and in the occupation of Kherson, Zaporizhia etc.
The mercenary "Wagner" (see the Nazi overtures) gruop is primarily in Bakhmut and throwing bodies at the area to try and gain SOME victory (which the Russians haven't had since March)
But there are no regular troops left, which is why Putin in September tried partial mobilization

Really, they do get their name from THE Wagner? One didn’t know that.
So that that mean that really it’s VOG-ner, and not WAAG-ner?

Wagner mercenary troops used by the Russians and the Azov movement used by the Ukrainians.
The NAZI's are on both sides of the war.
I think Genghis Khan said it best.

I said, "I heard a couple weeks ago they might send in (more) regular troops"
Yeap. I see my mistake.
