This one has got me really concerned, given my recent bout of shingles. And it was a bad one, too, requiring one visit to doctor, two to urgent care, and another to a naturopathic urgent care for a 37gram infusion of Vitamin C + glutathione, which finally shut the darn thing down. Almost 2 months later, I'm still not back at my usual workout schedule because I get so exhausted so quickly.
I have spent so much time (and money!) upgrading my immune system... how did this thing get past it?
When I caught covid in summer 2021, I caught it in a very strange way, which is what has me concerned. I was never vaxxed, but I caught the bug after being in someone's house who had just been vaxxed with Moderna. And I came down with the crud the very next day. I did all kinds of naturopathic stuff plus the IVR and it was not a big deal... the cough hung on for about a month, but once I got hold of some HCQ, that took care of it.
But now a year+ later, this shingles thing...
I guess, like me, you will have to start taking the shingles vax, as galling as that might be. It would seem - as Q just said in his last - that there is a war for our DNA. Since you were not vaxed that raises questions. First, your age (not for me but for yourself); if you had chicken pox as a child and you have reached 50 - 50+, the shingles is to be expected.
I won't get into it here, but I fought this battle for at least 10 years with the medical profession. Friends would come to me in desperation asking how to stop the horrible shingles attacks and I would tell them to get a chicken pox vaccination. Of course the doctors would ask why and refuse to administer the shot. I would point out to the Dr's the sheer logic of the remedy and they would tell me that if the patient had chicken pox as a child then they were immune to the virus !!! That is so illogical as to be laughable - that someone could be immune to a pathogen that was viciously attacking them - except that their patients were suffering too much to be a laughing matter.
Of course the AMA would not endorse vaccination against shingles so the Dr's were in a trap. In the early 90's a Japanese researcher worked on a shingles 'vaccine' and it worked (of course) so now we have an (expensive) shingles vaccine. {{I still claim part credit just for the decade long fight that I carried out! 😌}}
ANYWAY - if you did not have chicken pox as a child then you might be a new test case: did the CoViD spike protein destroy your natural immunity to shingles? That might be statistically important - if anyone is interested.
I also recommend that you look over (clinical) material in the CoViD thread to see if there is anything to bear directly on your case issue - especially the fatigue issue and mitochondrial recovery. On the lingering cough, should it recur, try mullein herb as a tea; ask little jeremiah. 😇
My friend was never vaxed and got the shingles last year.
He thought he got it from a vaxxed person who was shedding.
