January 12, 1967 to April 16, 1970.
Old one was December 16, 1951 to August 23, 1959.

Thanks. I totally forgot (or never knew) that they rebooted “Dragnet” 1967 to 1970. I can’t imagine it being as good as the original B&W show, though.
The murder scene was allegedly gruesome. There was lots of blood in the house and also blood streaks on the outside of the house.
Were there bloody footprints or droplets of blood throughout the house and also from whichever door the perp used to leave the house?
Did the perp arrive or leave the scene on foot or in a vehicle? Bloody clothes? Bloody shoes? Bloody knife, what type? Kitchen knife, hunting knife, skinning knife? Have any weapons, clothing, or shoes been found yet? Would the police release that info?
Maybe they changed their clothes or committed the murders with no clothes on as they speculate Lizzie Borden did.
I wondered about that. A person would not be using the phone one minute, then heavily asleep - literally the next minute - then stabbed. Something is wrong with the information. It has been that way from the start, with this case.
That’s an awful thought, which can’t help but arise, because of the inept way that this case has been handled. Another, similar theory, is that members of a local privileged, influential family might be involved. In small towns, that can really sway things.
I think it is a weirdo who was rejected by one or more of the female victims. He probably made a pass at one of them and he was enraged when she blew him off. Whoever did it had some type of grievance against the victims.
The two blonde girls. My best guess, they were targeted for playing with someone else’s boyfriend or husband. A jealous woman could have paid for this, or an ex boyfriend. My best guess, sex is at the root of this crime. Two very flirtatious women. It could have a racial tint to it. The two messing with a man outside their ethnic community. A sister in the hood goes into a rage. Sex and drugs, and some money.
Uber or Lyft driver. They must have checked him out. He was probably the last known contact.

I don’t have a better theory, but that just seems impossible.
You might be able to stab one unsuspecting person, but this isn’t the movies. The victim will thrash around, and make noise, for certain. Just this alone makes me scratch my head.
Another point that I have read mentioned, is that knife crime is a passion crime. Thrusting a knife into a body takes a lot of force. Stabbing to death four victims isn’t something that most people, not in a state of rage, could do.
And four women with separate lives? What one thing could tie all four together, make them all guilty in the eyes of the killer?
The killer had to be enraged. But why?
The article says two of the girls were roommates. Were the boy and his girlfriend in the same room or bed? I think that's a safe bet. So how does one person murder two people in a room without one of those people making a huge noise as she's watching her friend being killed? I do wonder if more than one person was involved.
Then there's the phone calls, first to friends and only later to 911. Supposedly one of the roommates said the dead roommates were "unconscious." Huh? There's so much about this case that's weird.
