It takes an expert to kill one person quickly with a knife. Much more expert to kill four. Knives interrupt blood flow. Blood is unnecessary for most everything like shouting fighting running flailing, etc. over the first 30 seconds or so. Only an expert can interrupt those functions with a knife.

I went to UGA at the same time, and there was usually one or two apartment break-ins/rape/murders a year, that always seemed to get pretty hushed up by the school and local authorities. IIRC around that time, there was a national parent-led effort for college towns to provide more transparent crime stats on or around campus.
