Earlier this week, health officials reported that a Maricopa County resident recently contracted dengue, while routine surveillance has found traces of the dengue virus in at least one nearby mosquito population. These discoveries suggest that the infection could be spreading locally in the state for the first time, though the investigation is still ongoing.
Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) officials announced the human case of dengue on Monday, though no other details about the patient were provided. They also reported that the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department had detected the virus last month in samples taken from a mosquito trap in a neighborhood of the county. Though there have been cases of dengue reported in Arizona before, they’ve been found in people who likely caught it while recently traveling to countries where the disease is endemic. But given the surveillance data, officials say, it’s possible that this is the first locally transmitted case of dengue to be reported in the county and the state as a whole.

I’m sure it’s a sheer coincidence that Arizona is on the southern border.
“They” got it from Katie Hobbs.
Pass it on.
I had Dengue while in SA, much worse than the Covid flu, but survivable. None of our “ team” died, however it is not called “breakbone fever” without good reason.
Some Gates skeets slipping over the border?
Waiting for a return of pleurosy, and la grippe and consumption. We’ll get to relive Dickens’ novels, lol.
“Ruh Roh!”
Don’t forget the dropsy and a touch of lumbago.
<< Many experts fear that climate change will allow dengue and similar viruses to become a local problem in previously unaffected parts of the world, like much of Europe and the United States. >>
Demographics change, not climate.
Dr Fauci is expecting to get some major kickbacks and payoffs from all the pharmaceuticals that provide meds for all of these diseases. That’s the american way.
Wonder where THAT came from? /s
“Dengue has become a global problem since the Second World War and is common in more than 120 countries, mainly in Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America. About 390 million people are infected per year, about half a million require hospital admission, and approximately 40,000 die. In 2019, a significant increase in the number of cases was seen. Apart from eliminating the mosquitos, work is ongoing for medication targeted directly at the virus. It is classified as a neglected **tropical** disease.”
Not a common Arizona desert disease.
And there are a lot of cases in Mexico etc. Too.
I just was hospitalized with dengue for a week...we have screens and mosquito traps in the home, but I think I caught it when visiting the cemetery for Nov 1.
can only imagine what it must be like- we had a woman at our church who had it- she said it was awful-
Spray them!! Spray them all!
Don’t tell me, let me guess...They got a ‘vaccine’ for that right? I mean, Fauci said post Covid ‘vaccine’ that all vaccines would now use the mRNA technology....
5. 4. 3. 2. 1.....LOCKDOWN!!!!
(the border!)
Now how did a tropical disease end up in AZ? /s
