USA's head coach Gregg Berhalter has spoken of the importance of the nation changing their crest to include the rainbow flag at the Qatar World Cup.
The United States made a statement at the showpiece tournament by redesigning their crest with rainbow colors to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community on Monday.
The US Soccer Federation, which normally uses a crest with blue lettering and red stripes, changed the stripes to seven different colors at Al Gharrafa training facility - the team's base for the competition.

When you are coaching an awful soccer team in an international tournament, you might as well make the best of it and turn your abysmal performance into a social crusade.
Actually, this particular case does not seem to be spearheaded by the US government. But it is part of the new world religion.
Fire the coach! The team is supposed to represent the USA, not the freaky LGBT lifestyle choices.
I’m rooting for Die Mannschaft (Germany) myself, where most of my ancestors came from. Could care less about the woke American team.
The coach is another woke zombie let loose on the planet.
Qatar can keep him.
Whats funny is they think theyre bringing “awareness” but really only bringing hostility to the host nation. Why in the world a backward place ever got a world cup is beyond me ….. but rainbow crests arent saving the world , its juts disgracing your uniform while giving the finger to Qatar.
