Purchased 4 jars, different brands and types last week. Can never seem to find the basic Heinz kosher dill. Grew up near their pickle plant in Holland, MI.
Marzetti makes good pickles too

Most grocery stores limit their shelf space to one ‘National’ Brand and their ‘Store’ brand, nowadays............

I buy the Vlasic Spicy Bread and Butter pickles, they go great on a salami and onion samich with mustard n mayo n lettuce n tomato.

The ones in my refrigerator say “Bread and Butta”
Have no idea - but I know my grandmother used this term as well for these small, sweet pickle slices.
Going to have them today on my Black Forest ham sandwich!

I like sweet gherkins, followed by bread & butter, then dill.
Of course, chow-chow relish tops them all. It's not a pickle, but it's somewhat pickled I think.

They’re easy to make, but pickling cukes can be hard to find (and expensive) unless you live in a more rural setting. When jarred pickles are BOGO at Publix, you can’t possibly make them for less.

We grow a pretty good Barden so have plenty of pickling cukes. The refrigerator pickles are easy to make, and we .ove em for sandwhiches. It’s kinda hard finding pickels without garlic in them around us- i can’t do garlic- makes me ill, and the smaller stores around d us don’t carry large selections of pickles, and they usually carry garlic ones beczuse that is what most folks want, so we just make our own without the garlic. I could I suppose buy online though. But we do like home grown stuff.
