Were the midterm elections the establishment’s latest trap for Trump?

The GOP establishment is blaming Trump for Tuesday's electoral losses instead of itself. Did they plan it this way?

From the day Donald Trump became a force to reckon with in the GOP, the D.C establishment has relentlessly worked to ruin Trump politically.

In 2017, the Democrats concocted and amplified the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that caused the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller. Following an almost two-year probe. Mueller's team conducted raids on Trump allies and his lawyer. At every point during the probe, the media claimed the walls were closing in on Trump and that he would be compelled to resign in shame.

When the Trump-Russia collusion hoax failed, they impeached Trump, baselessly claiming that he was soliciting foreign interference in U.S. elections during a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

When they were not fabricating hoaxes, they engaged in other baseless claims. On some days they claimed Trump was a sinister dictator, on others he was a criminal genius. On all days, they called Trump imbecilic and bigoted.

All through these scandalous violations and phony charges, the GOP leadership were spectators when they should have been fighters. When the powerful become spectators in response to baseless attacks on any ally, it means they are supporting the attackers..

SNIP

In other words, the misdeeds of the establishment would be exposed and Trump would see a resurgence.

Did anybody really think this midterm win was going to be easy?

There were many things that went wrong.

The GOP, and surprisingly, the media, pushed the narrative of the red wave, which probably sowed seeds of complacency among GOP voters, causing them to remain home, presuming a victory was inevitable.

The supposed, and most likely continued “leader” Of senate republicans refused to help republican candidates and actively assisted a candidate who was not the republican nominee. That same candidate was endorsing democrats. But this election failure is all on Trump.

I think these are all excuses!
The real failure is the failure to adapt to the tactics that it takes to win in the age of mail-in ballots. I don’t like mail-in ballots, I think it’s wrong invites cheating but there it is. People love it because it’s easy. Rat’s being Santa Claus with the responsibility of voting.

Yes, it is a failure of leadership but it’s not the failure every complains about. It’s a failure to understand that voting and election rules\attitudes culture have changed. This failure of understanding starts at the top of the GOP and goes down through ALL THE STATE GOP LEADERSHIP!

We don’t do it because it seems quasi-unethical\illegal. It also goes against our grain because the vote harvesting necessary to capture the mail-in ballots seems so paternalistic. It feels to us disrespectful of the individual initiative and his\her right to decide on his\her own. It also requires participation in the party over and above bitching and moaning and imagining ties to foreign interference.

They do it, they win. They even provide us with easy explanations through the MSM and picked up by our own media to be a balm to our conscience.

A republican party with Mitch and rinos in charge is worse than no party at all. I’ll say it again. We are better off without the republican party if it’s only going to block us at every turn.

They started doing this in SoCal where ballot harvesting is legal and lo and behold R’s won some ( don’t ask me to remember where I read it a few years ago).

The Left absolutely does not fear Trump. They see him as a sure loser.

You need to think more.

The left fears and despises Trump. They know that he's their biggest danger when it comes to implementing the democrat agenda. They know that they lost in 2020, and will lose again in 2024. Knowing that they lost in 2020 puts the fear in democrats hearts and minds. Thus, they want DeSantis, because he would be more beatable than Trump, and Trump would be a sure winner AGAIN. MAGA is what the democrats fear the most, and they have to turn MAGA into some evil mantra that Trump dreamed up.

DeSantis might win in 2024 if he were to be the republican nominee for president, but, democrats know that Trump would be a sure winner and would then destroy the democrat agenda. Don't frequent the democrat sites, since they want to mislead people into thinking that they want Trump. Biden is saying what the democrats want, and he has to say that he wants Trump because he beat Trump already, but, Biden and democrats know that they're lying to pretend that they want Trump.

Trump is the democrats worst nightmare, and they've proven so for over 7 years.

I read that too. So, R’s have proved they can do it, if the will to do it exists.

Nothing can stop the MAGA movement. More and more people are learning the truth about the shenanigans of the GOP establishment. Their days are numbered. Democrats too.

Trump needs to stop going after DeSantis, and direct his fire at McCarthy to prevent him from becoming Speaker of the House. Trump must either demand that role for himself, or a loyal Congresscritter like Gaetz or MTG. Trump needs to clean house of all of the failed McLeaderhip.

Said No Reasonably Intelligent Person Ever.

Example: There are 2 people(mainly) responsible for The USSC Dobbs Decision. Donald Trump & Mitch McConnell.

Crushing Cruz in ‘16 didn’t hurt Trump a bit. Crushing Pope Ron Desanctus won’t hurt either. It will be fun to watch.

And what’s the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Voting for republicans and expecting anything other than backstabbing, democrat facilitating, greed filled, crony capitalist traitors is what’s insane.
