Basically every person here now supporting DeSantis, previously supported Trump. They see that fighting spirit you describe, in DeSantis, but think he is more focused on who and what to fight, instead of just spraying the battlefield with friendly fire as well.
And, just as you said don't try to control Trump, the Trump supporters need to quit trying to control those that are now turning the page from Trump to DeSantis. Your post was quite respectful, as always, but a lot of the remaining Trumpers are ripe with insults, which are only pushing people away from Trump, not towards him.
I simply want the best candidate, and as of today, I think that's shaping up to be DeSantis. If you or others want to persuade me back to preferring Trump, then arguments on why Trump would be better are your best bet, not telling us to "chill out" if you know what I mean. Thanks.
