Thanks for your thoughtful post.
And I've seen lots of people have a Road to Damascus moment. So I'm not yet on the flight out of Trumpville.
But the departure lounge is a good place for now. For all the reasons you stated, plus one...
I apologize for reposting, but Trump's Achilles is his personnel instincts. They're a virtual dumpster fire. Sessions, the Mooch, Bolton, Tillersn, Mattis, Giuliani, McCabe, Nikki Haley, Sally Yates, Flynn, Hope Hicks, Reince Priebus, Rod Rosenstein. Oh, and Pence...and endorsing McCarthy. And now all the nonsense with DeSantis.
This is not an inconsequential Achilles. Indeed, picking Rudy to lead the stolen election charge was a disaster. He may have been America's Mayor but he was out of his league when arguing cases. In fact he was by many accounts hung over and that's why his hair dye was trickling down his face. Maybe that deck was stacked against Trump and there was no way he'd secure re-election via the courts, but our "ace" pitcher had no heat and the skipper kept him on the mound out of loyalty.
Ignoring a problem won't make it go away, and this is a big problem.
Re-electing Trump is tough enough. And I love the eye-poking of the MSM and the days of media head explosions after Trump trolls them. And we got awesome judicial picks.
But we have an illegal immigration problem, runaway deficits, a DOJ that treats parents like war criminals, and a conga line of actual stuff that needs ADMINISTRATION. I don't want to spend four years crossing my fingers on him selecting competent pit bulls to administer MAGA.
Thanks folks!
