Trump’s hour has passed, but his galaxy-size ego will not permit him to step aside.
Here is the 2024 win-lose formula in my mind.
1. Every Trump fan will still come out and vote for DeSantis, if DeSantis is the 2024 candidate.
2. Ten million more Rats will come out just to vote AGAINST Trump, if he is the candidate. They won’t be nearly as motivated to come out to vote against DeSantis.
That built-in “hate Trump” Rat vote gives DeSantis the edge.
I think you’re delusional. I don’t know a single Democrat who would vote against Trump but would support DeSantis or even stay home if he’s the GOP nominee.

You’re deluding yourself. If Democrats had beaten Trump fairly, I’d agree with you. But we cannot allow their fraud to determine who we pick as our candidate.
The Democrat fraud machine is not going to stop if Desantis is the nominee. The RINOs are not going to suddenly start being conservative.
It will just go back to Republicans being polite losers. The RINOs will support Desantis only long enough to damage Trump. They’d prefer to divide conservatives just as much as Democrats would. Then they can put forward their “uniter” which will be some establishment pick.
Let Desantis continue doing a great job in Florida. Plenty of time for him to run for president in the future.
