Pisses me off. In the 1970s, we took a fill in the bubble test once a year in school and they had a reliable way to tabulate them. Forty plus years later, Maricopa tabulators aren’t working.

Fun fact from engineering: any system that has to be unconditionally reliable has to be (a) as simple as possible, (b) redundant, and (c) visible, no parts hidden from view.
