In Europe they act like they don’t care.

Hey lets draw attention to our cause by making everyone hate us. That will be terrific for our cause.

these people belong in a mental institution. Their thinking is broken. Who knows what other harm they can and will cause with their 1+1=56 mental faculties.

The first time this defacing of art happened museums should have put plexiglass over all exhibits.

Why they have not is a mystery.

And they should check everyone’s bags before they enter.

Let’s be real....These galleries and Museums have to start constructing barriers/glass panels/whatever. This simply shouldn’t happen.

The Left is waging a war against art in this country. Statues such as the one of Robert E. Lee in Richmond, Va. have been destroyed and there’s talk of dynamiting the sculptures at Mt. Rushmore and Stone Mountain, Georgia. Those wokesters who destroy these works of art also deserve the death penalty.

“Climate activists targeted Johannes Vermeer’s masterpiece ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ with glue and liquid on Thursday.” This isn’t the first such attack. “Earlier this month, climate protesters threw mashed potatoes at a Claude Monet painting in a German museum and a similar protest happened in London, where protesters threw soup over Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ in the National Gallery.”

What do these works of art have to do with climate? Do these idiots think that the oil in oil paints is petroleum?

They should be placed in solitary confinement in cells with walls decorated with Jackson Pollocks.

It is not the severity of punishment, but the certainty of it. The death penalty, if enacted into law, would never be applied. I remember a liberal grandmother who was sent to prison in California, I can’t recall what for but some kind of protest. She was transferred to an out-of-state prison which is frequently done. She was outraged and shocked that they moved her away from her family. And the food! Everything she had to say demonstrated how disconnected she was from reality.

We need a punishment that courts and juries will gladly heap on liberals that will bring them into contact with reality. I’m not sure what this might be: take away their BMWs, cancel their credit cards, forbid them from going to Starbucks, etc. These people aren’t “normal” and need to be introduced to reality.

Yes. And while I haven’t been to an art museum in a while, were I present when one of these little Commie twerps showed up, I’d send them to the frigging hospital. It would be a while before they got out. The people just standing around like sheep watching them do this are a disgrace.

imo . . . . . . . YES.

The damage done by the Muslims to ancient, one of a kind, irreplaceable artifacts, buildings and statues in the 90's forever removed remembrances of Christian worship thousands of years old.

These modern day Satanists are cowards in that they are not REALLY trying to actually destroy great art, but get their 15 minutes.

And that should be it . . . . 15 minutes . . . . and a bullet.

Humanity has degenerated so far from the classical timeS that no modern person can truly comprehend the creators and their creations.

We actually practice capital punishment in part because a criminal has removed forever some element of our life . . . a father or mother, a child or friend.

Martyrdom requires very little of the offenders, and gives them the infamy they so obviously crave. A more effective deterent would be to have offenders publicly whipped until only 95% dead, then forced to do productive heavy manual labor 16 hours a day for 40 years.

YES! We are just care takers of these irreplaceable works of art. Failure of our generation to protect these items from antiquity mean any punishment is not enough. Governments should announce “you destroy a work of art, we destroy you”.

Like the confederate statue vandalizers and the Taliban monument destroyers, people who engage in this type of ruination (a word which perfectly combines ruin and nation) need to be punished. Death is not the answer, however.

“If he’d trashed an Andy Warhol, it would still be evil. But honestly, nobody would really much care.”

And no one could tell the difference.
