Charles and Diana’s unhappy marriage was so “highly combustible” that royal protection officers were worried someone would get hurt. One of Charles’ valets remembers seeing Diana “hurling epithets and mocking her husband’s obsession with the dreary-looking Camilla,” writes Christopher Andersen in the upcoming biography, “The King: The Life of Charles III,” out November 8.
The valet watched on as Diana “literally pursued” her husband “down hallways, up staircases and from room to room” at Charles’ Highgrove House country retreat, Andersen writes.

I know Diana unfairly gets a lot of sympathy in the press over charles cause she was hot and she was a bit crazy. But she really was much hotter than Camille or whatever her name is. He could have done a little bit more to keep her as a sidepiece. Beta dudes really have strange tastes about women.

(A) a woman who (while pretty) was terrible company, versus
(B) a women who, while of unexceptional attractiveness, was enjoyable company.
I think a lot of men would pick (B), unless we are talking about a hooker who can be sent away after sex.
My wife is no longer the cute girl I first met decades ago, but she remains good company.

Camilla has a face that would stop a clock but she's probably a lot of fun to drink a few beers with. That being said, you're the future King of England, you can have both fun AND hot at the same time. There's no reason to settle.
It's like John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton. Both were cheating scumbags but at least Kennedy did it with women like Marilyn Monroe that were worthy of being with the leader of the free world. Clinton had Monica Lewinsky.

When I was in tech school at Keesler AFB my wife was friends with a woman who had been an Air Force Brat in England and she would often say that the Blokes were all Nancy Boys. She married a machismo Italian-American guy who was a classmate at the Dependents School and had a build like Cynthia Myers.
Neither if you ask me. If you're going to be King, however, you should be dating the hottest girl in the country. It's a matter of national pride.

She was sold a bill of goods by the royals, deliberately lied to, and used to procreate heirs. That was the way most spouses of royals were treated in days gone by when marriages were based on gaining power, land, and wealth. It happened to her in 1980, not 1580. She was 20 years old, very naive, and very gullible.
I almost ran my then husband down at his mistresses apartment back in the late 70's. I did some other stupid things to get his attention too. I was 32 at the time, not a kid, and the mother of two sons. About the only way Diana had to try to get some attention from her husband was to throw herself down a flight of stairs. Charles probably ignored her most of the time, and that was her way of dealing with the hurt and anger I'm sure she was feeling. Being pregnant didn't help her emotions either. Can you imagine being pregnant, knowing your husband never really loved you, is cheating on you with his long-time mistress, and only speaks to you out of necessity. I'm surprised throwing herself down the stairs is the only thing she did. She wanted to hurt him too, so she chose that way to act out. I saw red when my husband came out of his mistresses house (yeah, I knew where the bitch lived), so the first thing that came to my mind when I saw him walking toward my car, was putting my foot on the gas and heading straight for him. Of course he jumped out of the way, but at least I felt better afterward. I couldn't hurt him emotionally, so the next best thing was trying to hurt him physically. Dumped his ass 43 years ago, and decided, I'd rather live alone, than live with someone and be totally miserable. Stayed single since.
Prince Philip pressured, and badgered Charles to find someone to marry. Instead of being a man, and telling his father no, he allowed himself to be cowed, married a girl he had no feelings for, lied to her, and caused mental and emotional damage to several people. They guy’s a selfish asshole. In order to have what he wanted, Henry VIII created a religious crisis in England that still has repercussions to this day. Charles, being similarly selfish, decided he’d play the old “get married to create heirs,” while carrying on a long-term relationship with his whore. He had what he wanted, while not caring who he was hurting along the way. He’s still a pompous ass.
