Both of my parents had sleep apnea and used cpap machines. I’m 99% sure I have it too but haven’t been tested. I’m reluctant to get checked because it is impossible for me to sleep on my back or my side (and the testing is expensive), I’m belly DOWN all the time (just a slight head tilt to breathe). I can’t imagine wearing a mask in that position. Also, the wife says I’m restless and move a lot (and confirms I raise the rafters with my snoring). Does anyone else have these problems and have an effective treatment?

Once you adjust to the CPAP, you should be able to slumber prone, supine, or on your side(s.) It is an adjustment for many, but ultimately, totally worth it.

I was driving my husband to the orthodontist one morning. In the back seat were my great niece and twin great nephews. Somehow snoring came up. I had recorded my husband the night before snoring up a storm. He said, “I DON’T snore THAT loud.” So, I told him to grab my phone and go to recordings. He does that and holds the phone up to his ear to listen. WELL, it went over bluetooth and played LOUD inside the car!!! We ALL were going down the road laughing out loud and I was crying laughing!!! It was an accidental thing that now the kids get into the car and ask to play it and we laugh all over again!!!

I also found that a fan blowing air in my face while I sleep helps for a better night’s sleep. Not strong, just an airflow.
