Unexpected detection of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in the prepandemic period in Italy

One problem is the binary fallacy. There are many, many strains of SARS. Some are innocuous in humans. Some give a slight sniffles. I had a COVID strain in Jan 2022 that gave me the sniffles for 3 days. Only a few strains cause serious illness.
The strains that were serious in 2019-now targeted the elderly and those with co-morbidities, especially the co-morbidity of obesity. Rather than vaccines the best way (statistically) to fight COVID is to reduce obesity.
For those who live in a non-binary world, there are options to the 2 exremes.
