1. Autoimmune response to ingested and mimicked opioids introduced through inflamed vagus nerves
2. Adolescent unchecked clearing of unused brain synapses
3. Autoimmune response to mitochondrial degradation and presentation on nerve cell walls
4. Prion disease.

In addition to AKAP11, the most common genetic deletion is called 22Q11. 30% of 22Q11 patients become schizophrenic by age 22.
