I was OK with Maryland using mail in balloting in 2020 because they mass mailed out a request for a mail in ballot. When you sent it back you had to include either your Social Security number or your drivers license number. Then when you got the mail in ballot you had to sign it and send it back.

But now they have a “send me a mail in ballot every year” choice. That is almost the same as mass mail out balloting. Can’t you see all the ballots for people who have moved lying in a basket somewhere in the lobby of an apartment building available for other people to complete and send in? Cheaters are happy with this arrangement; honest people not so much.

I just got a text from Herschel Walker with a short video and a request for donation. I will send a donation because Georgia might just decide the Senate again just like it did in 2020. Walker is not a perfect candidate but all GA Republicans must vote for him. Please, Georgia Republicans, do not “stay home.”

Yes, the mail in ballots are ripe for cheating. In CA they mail them out to everybody, whether they live here or have moved away decades ago. It's a total scam.

I will say that personally, I like taking my time filling out the ballot at home & doing research on the candidates/issues that I am not familiar with as I fill it out. This latest ballot was 4 pages long. I then walk it to the voting area & leave it with a live person. A day or two later I get an e-mail confirming that my ballot was received & counted.
