It’s been said... that a huge ego is required or accompanies any serious presidential candidate into the Oval Office.
I’d say P Trump met that “qualification” and Governor DeSantis seems to be qualified as well. With that being said, I believe that this qualification would be an impediment to these two figures forming a team where one personality is subordinate to the other, and we know which one would be in the alpha position and which would be in the subordinate position, and I just don’t see that flying.
Further, I would like to see P Trump take his rightful place in the White House, and I would be remiss if I did not find deep satisfaction in having Ron DeSantis as Governor of FL, for a solid four years, with him moving seamlessly into the prime slot for POTUS in 2028.
In short, I think it would be a waste for RD to be somebody else’s VP, and I don’t think it has any appeal whatsoever to RD. (Ego and all)

I wholly agree with you and have said that before. Hopefully DeSantis will wait until 2028, and meanwhile observe and learn from Trump, especially with foreign policy.
I understand your problems with both of their egos & the other considerations. I would just hope that RDS could tame his ego knowing that in this situation it would only be for 4 years & he would be a lock for 2028 & most likely 2032.
Both of them going head to head in 2024 they will inflict damage to each other.
At the risk of sounding “black pilled”, with all the cheating/fraud whatever you call it, I think it is hard to overcome all of it, unless you have a very formidable force & united MAGA. I think Trump/DeSantis is that force. Just my opinion.
I forgot to add, having said all that, I really don’t think Trump will go with RDS. It’s just my dream team & I think the best shot MAGA has.

I raise my hand in the affirmative for Trump and DeSantis being a one-two knockout punch. Who knows... have stranger things happened in politics at this level?
One stark point- P Trump is not a rookie this go around, and neither will his cabinet picks be so blatantly wrong for the job, such as we saw last time.

He is still our top choice and I just don't want to see him hurt himself with spats and fights that detract from the struggle with democrats and other Never-Trumpers.
IMHO his 'Ron DeSanctimonious' jab was unnecessary and uncalled for and accomplished nothing positive.
There are more than enough evil democrats and backstabbing RINO's (like Pence) to concentrate on.
It's no secret that some of his juvenile name calling and unnecessary personal attacks over the years have cost him to lose some support.

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy has won his party's nomination for speaker, beating conservative challenger Rep. Andy Biggs in a 188-31 vote, according to multiple sources in the room.
It was a secret ballot, and McCarthy only needed a simple majority.
