SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The former partner of the man accused of violently attacking Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband at their San Francisco home on Friday is revealing new details about the suspect.
"Hello this is Gypsy Taub. I am the ex-life partner of David DePape and the mother of his children," said Oxane Taub, calling from the Californian Institution For Women in Corona, California.
Taub -- better known as "Gypsy" -- is a well-known nudist activist who spoke with ABC7 in 2013 at a protest in San Francisco.
"We just wanted to test the waters to see how much the police department respected our first amendment rights," said Taub in 2013. Now she's revealing a longtime relationship with David DePape.
"He is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time," said Taub, who last year was found guilty on 20 counts, including the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old boy near his Berkeley high school.

Taub: "Well when I met him, he was only 20 years old ,and he didn't have any experience in politics, and he was very much in alignment with my views and I've always been very progressive. I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi."

Paul Pelosi was somehow able to punch the 911 button on his charging phone in the bathroom.
According to a Police source, Pelosi never spoke into the phone, but he did say provocative things to the intruder that caused the 911 operator to ask for an urgent welfare check.
I still do not understand who said the intruder was a "friend" named "Dave," or when that was said.
Apparently, she was completely obsessed with this teenager.
The intruder who hit Pelosi with a hammer is a Canadian citizen and may be an illegal alien.
I believe he said he was a friend to police. There is a recording of police reporting this to dispatch which was on twitter. There is also a report that Nancy asked for welfare checks on her home, and that is why police were there.
There is also a report that a third party answered the door. This person has not been identified.
Is that a real interview, that they actually aired? Doesn’t help the Dem narrative at all.
It’s this. Another possibility is that the attacker was there selling drugs to Paul and Paul showed him his hammer and all hwck broke loose. Another possibility is that the attacker guy was a friend of the unknown third party that answered the door and let police in. Maybe it is this third person that Pelosi knew and he brought along nudist guy?? Maybe that’s why Pelosi said he didn’t know him but also said he was a friend named David.
Maybe that’s why the perp was asking where Nancy was—maybe he admires her too and merely wanted to meet his idol?

I’ll grant them the crazy. It’s difficult to explain the apparent broken glass window shards outside the home. I guess a nudist in underwear is a step up. The whole episode being used as a political hammer days from a key national election is highly suspect.
