Can you provide a link to confirm no charges were filed for breaking and entering?

As far as I can tell as of this morning, no charges have been formally filed.

From the Associated Press:

I don’t think CA or SF actually has that (“breaking and entering”) in their code and it’s all considered to be covered by burglary.

That said, I do wonder how he got it. Even smashing a hole in the back door wouldn’t have done it, since the hole was nowhere big enough for him to get in and it doesn’t look as if he did it to reach around to the inside handled, since the glass fragments appear to be just piled on the ground on both sides and haven’t been brushed aside by opening the door. Granted, the photo wasn’t great, so a clearer photo might show otherwise.

Personally, I think he may have been in the house before, perhaps as an employee of a delivery service or even as an event photographer, something he seems to have done at various points in his life (photographer at the nude wedding in SF).

Also, if he was seriously trying to get Nancy, he would have known that she wasn’t there but in DC. But obviously he didn’t, because he asked Paul Pelosi “where’s you wife?” - which to me means that he was just checking to see if there was anybody else in the house.

I think this was not just a random burglary, but on the other hand, I don’t think it was political. It mentioned that he was going to tie up Paul Pelosi…with what? A sheet or electrical cord - or a rope he has brought with him (along with the hammer]?

I don’t think it was necessarily a gay thing, but I do think it was personal in some way, although possibly Pelosi didn’t actually know or recognize him. DePape had threatened his own family members and was getting nuttier by the day, apparently, so he may have felt that he had a grudge against Paul Pelosi for some completely off the wall thing, such as something to do with the DUI or the people involved in it.

Hopefully, whatever it is, it won’t get shoved into the memory hole with no explanation like so many things involving powerful Democrats.
