I highly doubt it.
I think they’re taking a page out of the Taco Bell playbook - that “stopped” their taco pizza for 2 years and then had record sales of it when they brought it back.
Welcome to the era of social marketing campaigns.

Maybe, BUT McDonald’s has always yearly brought back the McRib simply due to its popularity. I remember a time when they sold McRib sandwich year round when it was first introduced.

It’s like those rockstar “Farewell Tours”. Yeah, ‘Farewell’, until they run out of money to pay their alimony bills.

McD’s has been rolling out the McRib and then taking it away since I was a kid. For some reason I remember them tasting a lot better when I was a kid than they do now - nostalgia is the ultimate secret sauce.

you’ll only get the insect version, the McRibbit, an homage to what frogs eat

That thing is better than homemade sin. Can’t wait till it hits the street again.

AM PM has a similar sandwich 2 for $5 I think.

The best thing McDonalds ever made (in my opinion) was their “steak” sandwich, which was a chopped steak patty on a medium-soft roll with raw onions and steak sauce. I guess it wasn’t too popular, because they discontinued it after a short while.
