I can't believe this needs to be said, but Ukraine is not in NATO. It is a highly corrupt country. It is not a "democracy." It has banned 10 political parties. It is not a US state. It has millions of ethnic Russians. This conflict is not worth starting a nuclear war over.

I am not sure what drugs the rest of the media is on, but these things need to be said to the audience when reporting on this conflict. There are only MILLIONS OF LIVES at stake.

“ Any “peace deal” must include security guarantees for Ukraine”

That’s sensible

Trump has volunteered to lead peace negotiations. I wish they’d let him.

Sell your military industrial complex tripe somewhere else. Or better yet, you go and fight for Ukraine.

Remember why Russia rejected allying with Britain and France in 1939, and chose Hitler instead.

Hitler offered them half of Poland, Britain and France didn’t.

This is precisely why Putin does not want the Ukraine government as is to exist. The NWO needs to get to Putin before he can get to them and the fact that the Jobama regime is allowed to dump billions of American’s money in supporting Ukraine says it all.

CIA didnt have to CREATE Putin they only had to implant themselves in a place where they could plant nefarious ideas in his head to force him to invade, although he may have had ideas of invading for years HE DID NOT DO IT!! The US had EVERYTHING to do with this, and this GREEN BS and WEF are in on it too!! BANK ON IT!!

Do you think Churchill was evil to ally with Russia and meet Stalin at various wartime conferences?

Remember that whole cabal which testified against president Trump in Congress, just to protect that money-laundering operation after the “perfect phone-call?” There are American citizens, who are going cold and hungry, who could have been warmed and fed with that 60 billion dollars! I “feel” for ordinary Ukrainians but “charity” begins at home!

“I can’t believe this needs to be said, but Ukraine is not in NATO.”

No, but the point is is irrelevant.

In the early 90s - and repeatedly since - the USA and UK, and to a lesser extent NATO, have signed OTHER SECURITY ASSURANCES with Ukraine in return for it giving the Soviet nuclear weapons to Russia. (As did Russia).

Three liberated Soviet Socialist Republics owned the nukes that had been left on their turf, they were NOT owned by Moscow - they were the property of the Union, and in the 80s the Union had transferred ownership of Soviet assets into the SSRs that they were stationed.

Two of the countries just gave the weapons to Moscow no questions asked, in return for no concessions whatsoever - which proves that they were either hopelessly optimistic that Russia would be really friendly after the end of the Cold War, or they were just completely governed by pro-Kremlin morons.

Ukraine alone was smart enough to think, “we really ought to actually get something tangible in return for us effectively leaving ourselves defenceless” but the Budapest Memorandum was drawn up to benefit all four nations - Russia, Khazakstan, Ukraine and Belarus - it was not just drafted to Ukraine’s benefit.

In return for all parties signing that agreement- witnessed and countersigned by the USA and UK - Belarus, Ukraine and Russia were assured of mutual friendship and brotherhood.

And pretty much ever since Putin came to power, Russia has been undermining that agreement.

Ukraine isn’t a NATO accession state, and it isn’t protected by Article 5. It is however protected by multilateral agreements including those made with the USA and Russia to the effect of

1. It has the same right as every other country to determine its own security needs

2. It has the same right as every other country recognised at the UN, to defend its own borders

3. It has the same right as every other country to forge its own alliances

4. It has the same right in principle as every other country, to apply to be a member of the NATO alliance, or European Union, or any other club that it chooses.

These rights also apply to Russia and Belarus as a consequence of those same agreements. So if Russia now takes the view that Ukraine shouldn’t have any of these rights because it’s trying to restore some empire or some other equally cretinous reason... well, then maybe Russia shouldn’t have those rights either. Bullshit arguments can work in both directions.

I suppose at that point he didn’t have much choice. But we had a lot more leverage over the Soviets, than we ended up using.

Did I say it was our fight? NO I DID NOT. Putin invaded Ukraine period. Does that mean we have to get involved? NO! But Putin's Russia is not innocent. So, stop kissing Putin's Butt and admit that you and most other Freepers are kissing Putin's Butt. Period. Putin is wrong and for all intense and purposes a War Criminal. Yet, you and other IDIOTS support this madman.

Putin is in the wrong and most likely a war criminal.

Getting involved in the Ukraine/Russian War is an entirely different subject.

I also want to say that when Putin went into Crimea WHO WAS IN CHARGE, Obama ANOTHER huge WEF participant, I think it is DAMN suspicious they the ABRUBT withdrawal from Afghanistan and the horrible way it was done THEN to end up just a few months later involved in this conflict, the US KNEW what we were landing and we could not be 2 places at one time!!

Everybody knows Ukraine is not a NATO member. Otherwise, Putin would not have invaded, Biden or no. And that is why NATO members haven’t put boots on the ground.

The German news magazine Die Welt calls the Kiev regime"Corruption on an Industrial Scale".

There is no rational reason for Americans to support the policies of our wretched government wrt Ukraine.

We CAN do both.
That is; defend ourselves and assist another independent country that has been invaded.

I would love to see the statistics that show Ukraine has more arms than the US.

Ukraine is a National Security issue like it or not. Almost 90% of the industrial laser grade Neon gas is made in Ukraine. Russia and China make most of the rest of the world’s supply.

Right now Industrial Neon is essential for the manufacture of microchips in domestic and military applications. Did you ever wonder why it is difficult to find new cars for sale or why certain computer driven appliances and computers themselves are out of stock ??? It is because there is a microchip shortage partially being driven by the inability of some manufacturers to get enough Neon.

Every major US weapon system uses microchips and we are starting to see a shortage in the required chips for defense production. Eventually new microchip advances will slow the demand for Neon in laser etching but that is still years away. Until then it is a critical gas for technological purposes. Having the Russians and Chinese control almost the entire world’s supply is something that could prove disastrous to US security.

But the neoCONs said we should send our kids and grandkids on the other side of the world to protect Ukraine’s borders and not to worry about our own southern border... it’s ok if they die over there because the bush / cheney / romney / biden families need more money and so does the MIC.
