As an ethnic German in Yugoslavia she was held in a Soviet concentration camp in Gakova, Yugoslavia. Tito hosted eight such camps. She had the pleasure of being persecuted by both Nazis and Communists. There's a book out there about her experience She Looks Like My Little Girl: The True Story of Eva Edl and Her Rescue from a Concentration Camp to Become a Rescuer of Preborn Children, out of print
