IMO, Zelensky is Emmanuel Goldstein: his influence is felt by all with some terrified of the disruption of change in Ukraine. Many outwardly denounce him while others see him as a figure of hope.
Putin would be the totalitarian ‘Big Brother’ The head of the Party that controls the ‘Thought Police.’ In turn, the Party uses the image of Big Brother to instill a sense of loyalty and fear in the population.
TOTALITARIANISM: “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”
Unlike Winston, I don’t want in the end to surrender unquestioning thought control to the ‘party.’
