All according to the Russian master plan (according to the Putinistas on FR).
Disclaimer: Just because I’m not pro-russia doesn’t mean I’m pro US funding the war either.
Not surprising and Russia has not yet made a formal declaration of war, but it is coming, as the US/NATO is forcing it.
This is all so very evil.
There’s going to be no winning nations. Mankind, worldwide as whole, will rue the day our leaders engaged in this demonic proxy war.
LOL
“Before the Hate had proceeded for thirty seconds, uncontrollable exclamations of rage were breaking out from half the people in the room. The self-satisfied sheep-like face on the screen, and the terrifying power of the Eurasian army behind it, were too much to be borne: besides, the sight or even the thought of Goldstein produced fear and anger automatically. … But what was strange was that although Goldstein was hated and despised by everybody, although every day and a thousand times a day, on platforms, on the telescreen, in newspapers, in books, his theories were refuted, smashed, ridiculed, held up to the general gaze for the pitiful rubbish that they were — in spite of all this, his influence never seemed to grow less. Always there were fresh dupes waiting to be seduced by him. A day never passed when spies and saboteurs acting under his directions were not unmasked by the Thought Police. He was the commander of a vast shadowy army, an underground network of conspirators dedicated to the overthrow of the State…”

Sound familiar?
Do you know how many nationalist (fascist) organizations exist in Russia: There are 53.
—
Nationalism is not fascism. Corporatism is fascism; the binding together (Roman fasci, bundle of sticks with axe) of government and big business interests.
“What aboutism” is not an answer to a question.
Seems to be a foreshadowing: I think I might be Winston actually! LoL
Winston asks himself questions, how can an idea survive if the past is not allowed to exist? Both Hitler and Stalin distorted the past and rewrote history to maintain the illusion of supreme power.
This i the warning from Orwell against the Hitlers (Fascists) and Stalins (Communists) -Putin- but also against the kinds of thinking and political processes make us vulernable to more control.
“Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime IS death.”
Shoigu, yep that’s an impeccable source. The Kremlin is world renown for always telling the truth. /sarc
You miss the point entirely. Putin is your Goldstein.
I believe in comment 43 you asked for proof.
These stats solve the “what-about-ism” concideration.
[I have them individually listed if interested.]
Russia has 53 nationalist (fascist) organizations exist in
Russia:
These R.F. Nazi (fascism) organizations can be sub grouped:
- 23 moderate,
- 22 radical
- 8 forbidden/banned
Ukraine has only 4 nationalist organizations found [considered fascists only by Kiselev, a Russian television presenter, news executive and propagandist aka “Putin’s mouthpiece”]
It’s not a swastika. It’s a faked picture with a mass market cheap bracelet with a Scandinavian rope motif that (if blurred) looks like a swastika.
The officer in question has been wearing the same bracelet for at least a year and OTHER photos of it, enlarged, confirm it isn’t a swastika.
A TV investigation went thoroughly into it thru multiple appearances, then located the bracelet online.
There are several other investigations, all proving that this is fake news.
Given the same images are copied, pasted and spammed out by the St Petersburg troll farm, it’s safe to say they manufactured the story and lots of dupes are still falling for it.
Addendum: this isn’t to say there are no Nazis in Ukraine, because clearly there are. Thousands.
Some fight for Russia, some fight for Ukraine,
And an awful lot of them (like the kids in pictures doing nazi salutes) are noncombatants.
There’s really no need for Russian propagandists to besmirch a non Nazi with a false accusation. There’s enough real Nazis on the battlefield to keep ‘em busy.
“Putin is Goldstein.”
Perhaps, for some. But, not in my way of thinking.
IMO, Zelensky is Emmanuel Goldstein: his influence is felt by all with some terrified of the disruption of change in Ukraine. Many outwardly denounce him while others see him as a figure of hope.
Putin would be the totalitarian ‘Big Brother’ The head of the Party that controls the ‘Thought Police.’ In turn, the Party uses the image of Big Brother to instill a sense of loyalty and fear in the population.
TOTALITARIANISM: “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”
Unlike Winston, I don’t want in the end to surrender unquestioning thought control to the ‘party.’
Today a newer term for Russia is Raschist. This term rashist means Russian fascist: combining both Russian & fascism.
This term is used by scholars, politicians and writers to describe the political ideology and social practices under Vladimir Putin.
Rashist describes the followers of Putin expansionist ideology of this 21st century Russian government. This term Rashist refers to Russian military expansionism or as a label for describing the Russian undemocratic system and cult of Putin with ultra-nationalism.
Rashism represents the basis of the Russian idea for their “special national mission”:
1- Moscow as the third Rome and expansionism;
2- Anti-Westernism supporting the regaining ‘Imperial lands’ thru conquest.
3- The St George yellow & black ribbon [in the form of letter Z is also associated with Rashism comparable to the fascist swastika (called zwastika)]
another bad day for Z
The terrorist attack on crimea bridge was stupid and suicidal.

Russian drones still face no obstacles flying over the capital of Ukraine. Ukrainian forces only managed to illuminate them with spotlights and attempted to shot them with guns. Meanwhile, civilians who have been deliberately provided with guns since the very beginning of the Russian military operations in Ukraine also attempt to help the military to intercept the UAVs, firing them from their balconies. indiscriminate shooting causes more harm to the civilian population than precision strikes by Russian drones
.
At least one of the UAVs hit the building of Ukrenergo in Kiev. This is the center of coordination of the work of power grids throughout the country. Another target was hit near the railway station in Kiev. Another strike was recorded in the area of the power plant of the Kiev Arsenal plant. According to the local reports, the heat supply station No. 1 of Kievenergo located near the 101 Tower office center, and the CHP No .2 near Rybalsky Island could also be targeted.
The main blows in Kiev were again inflicted on electrical substations with a voltage of 35 to 110 kV, supplying energy to industrial enterprises. Russian kamikaze drones disable industrial facilities that are directly or indirectly involved in providing the needs of the Ukrainian army and are legitimate military targets. Powerful generating power facilities in the Kiev region were not hit.
A cut-and-paste answer I’ve seen many times before.
Very funny!
You said: “Ukraine’s offenses are increasingly depleted quickening arrival at...point where irreversible Russian advances begin”
Moscow disagrees with you:
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said they would help civilians evacuate the southern city of Kherson, Ukraine, as Ukrainian troops continue to make gains in the area just north of Crimea.
The Ukrainian military has had repeated successes in the south of the country and previously said that it hopes to retake Kherson, one of the provinces annexed by Russia last month, by the end of the year.
Regarding the supply of the new tanks for Ukraine, Ukrainian engineers repairing the tanks abandoned by the Russians during their panicked flight south say that few repairs are needed. For example, the tanks’ “forward” gears were hardly used...
“swastikas hot in West Ukraine”
To your point:
“passage Most Russians get their information from state TV, so they accept the absurd notion that the Russian help and presence in Eastern Ukraine are necessary in order to defend the local population from Ukrainian Nazis, who are in tuirn controlled by Americans.
Meanwhile, Russian and Ukrainian Internet lately presents a lot of material showing Russian nationalists – extremists and neo-Nazis – fighting in the Eastern Ukraine on the side of the separatists and against the Ukrainian army.
Among fighters for the Russian ideas are activists supported by the Russian government and criminals wanted by Russian police.
Some of them are just ordinary young hoodlums, some are well known politicians.
The most famous Russian fighting in Donbas is Alexander Barkashov, the creator and leader of “All-Russian civic patriotic movement Russian National Unity” (RNU).”

Another cut and paste post response I’ve already seen.
