Yep. Saw it early this morning, ~7:30am, at HEB and Walmart here in Central Texas (not Austin). Some customers and some cashiers/baggers with masks on. Most were the KN95 style. It's 90 effing degrees here today! Sheesh!
Up here in occupied Alberta, Calgary in particular, the vast majority of those masking up, in public, are of Asian descent. Of course, hospitals, most nursing homes and most clinics, still require masks for all visitors.
The good news is that our new Premier, Danielle Smith, announced on Tuesday, her first day in Office, that Dr. Deena Hinshaw-Mengele, is finished as Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) of Alberta. Smith will create a new Board of Health Care advisors to advise the gubmint on health care issues. Unfortunately, Tyler (ShamWow) Shandro, the former Minister of Health and current Minister of Just-us, has not been punted for his mistreatment of Alberta residents, nor has JUSTIN Kenney, the mealy mouthed cork soaker who ordered the arrest of Pastors who chose to follow the Bible, rather than the diktats of Oberführer Kenney, while he was Premier.
As May 29, 2023 is the next election date, hopefully the Conservatives will maintain their majority. Smith can then cull the authoritarians out of caucus.
