Many things can provide sun protection.
Huk clothing (fishing) rates their shirts and pants with an SPF.
Even beeswax has an SPF rating when amended with the \chemical\ zinc oxide.
There is nothing nefarious about recommending an SPF level to stave off painful skin eruptions.
Your enjoinder rates up there with Mono-hydrogen Dioxide.
That’s why I gave an alternative. Don’t use the poisons. The best natural lip balm I can recommend is homemade with bees wax, raspberry oil (huge SPF protection), and cocoa butter. This is a balm in a jar kinda thing where you finger heats the oil solids.
