I'm not sure about that. Paul and Peter had different prospective on their objectives. Paul believed Christ was here to help Judaism fight evils that lurk within (my words.) Peter started the catholic church. in retrospect the evil Jesus talked about has infiltrated both beliefs in my opinion. Paul might have been correct to clean up Judaism which didn't take place.

Yes. I'm more of Ignosticism in its original meaning. Where god is a meaningless word as it's not been observed other then through emotions, feelings and religions.
