New Jersey teacher interviews 4th graders on 'they/them' pronouns on TikTok: 'Indoctrinating my students'

A New Jersey teacher interviewed and recorded 4th-grade students on the educator's "non-binary" "they/them" pronouns and posted the videos on a public TikTok account over the course of several months.

Nairobi Colon, an art teacher who works in the KIPP charter school system in The Garden State, posted videos responding to critical comments from users who accused the educator of "grooming" students with gender ideology. The teacher has racked up over 600,000 followers on her TikTok.

One of the videos of Colon discussing pronouns with students was shared to the official KIPP Facebook page. The post said Colon worked for KIPP Whittier Middle School in Camden.

Colon wrote on one of her videos in March, "'Indoctrinating my students.'"

"What are my pronouns, y'all?" the teacher said to students.

"They/them," the children responded collectively.

In another video, Colon prompted a student to respond to a TikTok comment accusing the educator of "grooming a child."

"[Name redacted], do I have power over you?" the teacher asked.

The student responded, "No. You could tell me something, but I don't have to necessarily need to do it."

Setting the content aside, why is she even allowed to make Tik Tok videos of students without the parents signed consent?

All 3 of our kids attended public schools. All completed college and have strong careers. All are staunch conservative patriots.

We lived in NJ when this happened. Our oldest made it through 6th grade when we pulled her and the others were pulled in 5th and 3rd grades. Our oldest turned out to be the leftist.....she’s 30 now and finally found her way back.

Please don’t lecture me on “stand and fight”. We did that back in 2006 in Evesham NJ. We were plastered all over the internet, on every news site, had our bank account compromised, had death threats, we were on Fox, CNN, MSNBC-—everywhere. Heck, we were listed all over this site for several months. Actually, you guys gave me and my wife great insight——Well, (actually) Jesus directed in every way

It was pulled from the schools for a few years them re-implemented. Now these schools simply don’t care-—period! They only listen to funds being siphoned away.

We pulled our kids-—NJ was way ahead of the rest of the country at the time. Save your kids-—pull them. This isn’t 2006 where the school boards give a crap.

I’m not saying indoctrination isn’t being attempted. My point is that ceding the public education system to the leftists is a losing strategy.

It’s entirely possible to raise kids in a social bubble. But they’re still going to lose at the ballot box, defeated by the masses of indoctrinated voters who never heard a dissenting voice in the public schools.

I’ve never had to raise my voice.

I have:

- Forced board members to go on record for supporting liberal ideology - contributing to their eventual replacement

- Had principals counsel, and then require young teachers to reteach lessons sans liberal opinion and propaganda (this was achieved not less than a dozen times over the course of our children’s K-12 education)

A side benefit is that our kids reached college with the ability to stand up for themselves. They know how to fight.

We did the same and I’m glad you did as well. I apologize for sounding harsh..it’s just we need a new angle of attack. They’re going behind our backs and around us…they simply don’t care. Unless they lose money or power will they listen. Go after that and you will win.
