Has Anyone Followed the Inspector Morse Series? Inspector Morse, Lewis, and Endeavour? Thoughts?
I have been overwhelmed with the series. to the point that I have purchased the DVDS. I have never felt television to fit. this fits.
your take?
I totally agree. I like having actors and actresses who look like real people and who age naturally.
I always enjoyed it, but I was not passionate about it.
I actually enjoyed the "Young" Inspector Morse series more than the original.
I do get passionate about movies and a few of the made for TV movies from years past.
But, for me, even really well made TV series - like Breaking Bad and the spin offs - always run out of gas after a year or two.
You can look at Britbox or AcornTV. I get both.
I miss morse
I’ve followed all.
Morse and Endevour are my favorites.
These have been on PBS. Endevour has a season preswntly there.
C B Strike on HBO Max is wonderful.
We love all of the BBC/Brit police/detective/mystery shows you mentioned and a few others.
We can get most of them for free via Prime and even more by donating $5/month to our local non profit tv station.
BritBox charges $5/month and has many of the above shows you posted and more..
WhiteChaple is a different twist with modern killings based on old Brit Classic murderers/crimes like Jack the Ripper.

I need to watch. Hopefully it gets on Nritbox soon.
All those shows entrall me.
Especially Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Alas it was cancelled [AU]. The period clothing, cars, settings, etc. are wonderfully done.
Another show I love is Doc Martin.
Itv and Masterpiece i think. I saw Inspector Morse on Britbox but had to find Endeavor and Lewis at the library. I think they can be found on Amazon and Masterpiece subscriptions tooo.
He was great. The young Endeavour does grow into the role.
Endeavor and Inspector Lewis were the pinnacle of TV entertainment.
Except the last season of Endeavor, which was quite weak in comparison.
Inspector Morse series seemed a little trite, and of much lower production quality.
My favorite, Inspector Lewis.
Wife’s favorite, Endeavor.
I think they are more textured and complicated.
Intellectually stimulating and inform on several different levels. A lot of this series references back to previous episodes and even previous shows.
It takes a bit but you can see the slow metamorphisis of Endeavour into Morse
“Can’t wait for the final season of Endeavour.”
I’ve already watched it, it’s available.
Search on Prime.
It was weak in comparison.
Inspector Morse on Britbox stream
Lewis and Endeavour I understand are on Prime and Masterpiece.
I got them from the library
then I ordered them.
The wife and I enjoy Endeavour. She keeps asking, “Why can’t Americans studios make shows like this?”
Seen Brown, most all of Midsomer, and Cadfile. will find Frost. I find these more textured and complex.
I forgot it is on youtube.
