Has Anyone Followed the Inspector Morse Series? Inspector Morse, Lewis, and Endeavour? Thoughts?
I have been overwhelmed with the series. to the point that I have purchased the DVDS. I have never felt television to fit. this fits.
your take?
I won’t watch the last episode of Morse
I watch the older shows and no DIE for me
I will!
There are 3 series.
Inspector Morse
Lewis
Endeavour
In order to catch all the connections best watched in that order
Do you know if ‘Martin’, the new season has been released yet?
I am starting season 7 tonight
I use subtitles
There is a great list of recommendations in this thread. If I had time I would do what I have done in the past. Strip them out as a list to print out at the end of the thread...
AcornTV starts the new Doc Martin series later this month.
Thank you! I will have to check out how to access AcornTV.
Season 10 is 17th October. If your referring to Doc Martin?
Yes, Doc Martin. I bought the series. Do so enjoy that show. The protrayal of an Asperger man is amazing.
Glad I could help. Maybe I check it out.
I have watched all 3 series at least two times. I think they are great.
Tell me your preferences and I’ll build you a personalized recommendation list.
K-dramas are harder than C-dramas. More intrigue. Large number center on corruption with the good guys dead against it. Willing to show grubby. More drinking than you ever believed possible, with drunkenness being considered “cute.” But good guys are really good and fight against the bad guys. Christmas trees everywhere.
C-dramas avoid the seamy side of life and show the skyscrapers or very clean poorer areas. Admittedly, the smog is so bad it’s hard to see the city through the high rise windows, but... A little more propaganda, but actually very little. Their rah rah China easily parallels the 50’s rah rah U.S. I couldn’t use up the fingers of one hand at the mentions of communism. It’s just not talked about. EVERYONE seems to be religious, just in their own traditional style. A very few atheists.

Many thanks. I’ll look up both.
They are all great
Yes to Maigret with both Cremer and Atkinson. Great plots, acting, scenery and supporting casts. Need more of them. The Poirot with David Suchet, he of “Harry and the Hendersons”.
127. Yes to “New Tricks” and “Waking the Dead”. Both entertaining, has good humor, strong casts, good plot lines, and edginess.
Thank you so much! So kind.
I will try these first. I am thoroughly enjoying some of the different countries’ offerings!
I am sure everyone else here will appreciate this too!
