Yes - I've had my general for almost 2 years. Got a rig and an off-center fed wire antenna set up. Decent setup.

But I have yet to key the mike and talk.

My dad was a ham. Mr G has been a ham since he was a teen. When Jr G got his license at age 10 I decided it was better to join them than fight them, so I got my general. I also got my late father’s old call sign. I figured since I had listened to it for over 50 years there was a good chance I’d remember it!
