I have been contacted by several dozen parents concerned about this week’s announcement by the CDC that they are recommending the COVID vaccine for our nation’s K-12 student population. The primary concern was that the State of Delaware would require the vaccine in our public and charter schools.
We reached out to the office of the Secretary of Education to gain insight into the plans of the Department on this issue. This was his response:
“Delaware will continue to recommend vs require like we do for flu vaccines. Reasons include a) we typical don’t require vaccines that haven’t been fully FDA approved, and b) given there is not a lot of longevity to COVID vaccine administration we do not recommend requiring at this time. Even flu, which has been around for a long time, isn’t required.”

Good for delaware! So it seems that individual states can override the cdc’s recommendation. I can’t wait to see how many states don’t follow along.

I sure hope Bannon is spot on....that we take Congress and the Senate, on Nov 8th.....and, THEN focus on ‘cleaning out the rat's nest, that is DC....beginning with impeaching Garland’.

Misinformation. Trump and his executive orders did that. Biden reversed it. And then re-did it. I know, I stood next to Trump as he signed the original executive orders.
