I like your adding chopped spinach to soups/recipes idea. And, with frozen …makes it that much easier!!
I freeze some individual portions as soon as a big pot of soup, etc., is cooked. It tastes delicious in the future and with no extra work.

I need to buy a freezer. Lol that sounds ridiculous, as we have 8 freezers on the farm, but I need one of my own. The freezer part of this fridge just doesn’t cut it.

I didn’t know Canadians ate split pea soup too.
I had a big family to cook for for so long, it took me a long time to make smaller meals. I still end up freezing some unless I invite some to eat with me.

Split pea soup is a French Canadian thing - Quebec, in particular. At least it is up here.
