TC, has anyone suggested compression socks? I know you said those little socky things leave rings on his legs...that’s water, edema. If you have him wear compression socks, that will greatly improve his circulation and help with his feet and legs “feeling and responding correctly” when he wants them to work.
and don’t go getting nighmares about putting TED hose on! OMG, those are the worst! Walmart sells some compression socks made by Dr. Scholl, they’re cool looking, they look like ski socks and they are not all polyester, so your feet breathe! You could try looking on Walmart.com. Also, a lot of ski socks are compression, with varying levels. I would start with light compression.
Is one of his pills a water pill? If so, he’s gotta take extra potassium. Having low potassium makes ones fuzzy...don’t ask me how I know!
Are you getting enough rest and food? Oh, and you need to walk every day, it’s good for your head. I find that turning my iTunes up as loud as they will go, good headphones and Eagles, credence Clearwater Revival and John Mellenacamp and Tom Petty gives me happy feet :)
No, not yet. I’ll ask the home health person when they come, whenever that is. I have some really good ones that I bought for my ankle but anything that compresses my Achilles tendon makes the pain worse, so I don’t wear them.
