That would certainly have been among the records they were looking for. In January of 2019, the newly-minted House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Adam Schiff, said he might subpoena notes or testimony from the interpreter at the Putin meeting. Since the raid happened, I’ve been convinced that the risk of having the whole documents case thrown out was immaterial to the DS. Getting the information that they couldn’t otherwise get was worth every risk, and they desperately want to know what President Trump knows about their operations. Learning that there were 40 (?) empty file folders with a “Classified” stamp on the outside was hilarious to me. Whoever is in charge of the big plan and has gamed out the moves and countermoves is seriously smart and they have my unqualified respect and admiration. I am enjoying that part of the movie, though it’s running a little long for my tastes and level of patience.
