I just heard from oldngray; Answer to prayer...

He lived 1 mile from Sanibel island, but evacuated inland to a hotel before the Hurricane hit. That hotel lost power, but had food and water. He left and is now visiting his daughter in OK. His apartment was not damaged but has no water and power. They expect it to be back in about a week.

(He is in his 90s, Vietnam Vet, USMC, active in church, does not post, but does lurk!)

I understand completely. I lived in Pompano Beach when I was a kid and often came home from the shelter after a bad hurricane with alligators and snakes swimming in 3’ of water in the house. I remember laughing while watching Dad chase alligators out. I’m also 67 so not a kid anymore. :-)

LOL, I’m proud to have made it this far!

So far, today has been easier. I have a baby monitor on him for when I’m in my room at night and a security camera that connects to an app on my phone for when I’m anywhere else. I caught him up and walking to the bathroom this morning without his walker and chewed him out over that but he made it. It’s only about 15 feet but he had to use the walker coming back.

I gave him some breathing lessons on deep lung breathing instead of the short shallow breathing he usually does and let him watch the number come up on the oximeter while he did his arm weight lifts. I caught him lifting his weights and checked his oxygen and his oxygen was only 91. That’s why the breathing lessons. When he was breathing like I told him, it got up to 97. It was 84 in the hospital so obviously the clots are mostly dissolved. Like I said, I’m no nurse but with asthma, I have learned how to breathe, especially when exercising.

You need prayer also. Intense home care for a loved one is stressful; take it easy and try not to take on too much. If you know someone that can share some of the load, recruit them. 😕 Stay in prayer. God bless!

We are supposed to have home health in a few days, hopefully. He’s doing much better but tomorrow he wants to take a real bath instead of washing out of a bucket. We are going to wait until almost time for my 300-pound son-in-law to get home from work just in case he can’t get himself out. No way I can get a 210-pound man out of a bathtub if he can’t get out himself.

Foldy 'n Faith, I really didn't get far making a pie chart in Excel. There's distortion in the data because if you get multiple injections at one appointment and then you die, your death is reported to all records for each vaccination type you received. *sigh* Anyway, table of data from VAERS via medalerts.org and the resulting pie chart below it in case anyone wants an ugly pie chart. At the link is a table and below it, a pie chart I made for someone interested in data comparing deaths reported to the CDC database (VAERS) following Covid 'vaccinations' with those reported for all other vaccines in VAERS 30 year history. It's current number of deaths reported to VAERS as of 9/23/2022 for all vaccines. At the bottom of the table, the pie chart shows most are from the Covid 'vaccines'.

It has its limitations. I believe that once again, the pie chart under represents the Covid deaths in comparison with all other vaccines because of the way they counted (per the note at the bottom of the chart) but I wanted to share it out in case anyone would like
