This is her second year.

She got a late start as right out of HS she had the Travel Bug and she went all over the world, working along the way to pay for it all. She’s a hard worker, smart and very dedicated to whatever she wants to do at any given time. She was a great athlete all throughout school, too.

She has a really nice boyfriend (I forget what he does, but it’s productive) and we’re hoping for a RING. Also hoping she loses interest in this particular quest that she’s on. She was offered many teaching positions, but this one appeared to be the biggest challenge to her, so of course, that’s what she picked.

She is a different breed than I am, for sure!

I’m in my second year of retirement from teaching. I pray for your niece’s safety. She will burn out. I had similar demographics, but in a small southern town. I knew lots of my parents & had good support for the most part. (Except for the top administration who let kids stay who should have very clearly been in a juvenile lock down facility 😵‍💫)

It’s not at all like it used to be. Growing up you had one, maybe two crazy kids in the school. Now the kids with good manners who want to learn are seemingly in the minority.
