“I can park anywhere I want with my lights on.

She had been pursued on the highway by the cops then pulled off onto that abandoned narrow road and stopped.

Safer there than on the major highway in the background.....

“Once she was arrested the police were entirely responsible for her.”

Like Epstein.

Who in their right mind parks on a railroad track, ever, even a “disused” spur line?

They not only stopped on the tracks, they set up home there and conducted the entire event and arrest and detainment there as though they had pulled over into a shopping center parking lot.

I wish I had a nickel for every jaw that has dropped when learning of this extraordinary event.

I wouldn’t even park on abandoned railroad tracks. Stupid f&@$ers.

There is absolutely no scenario where parking on train tracks is even remotely a good idea. Ever. WHY would anyone do this? Did not ANYBODY think this might pose a problem?

They sure are crossing all the Ts and dotting all the Is on protocol and department training. I like how we can hear the VERY LOUD TRAIN HORN blast repeatedly over and over; no clue on the part of these guys.

Do they have a “Don’t Do Retarded S!&t” training day? LOL

What particular officer actually parked there?

LEO parked on the tracks to do the search and arrest.

Everywhere I look, I see children in positions of authority.

*Note that she is not Yareni Rios-Gonzalez to “law enforcement”.

Nope. She is not lady, a suspect, or even a prisoner. She is an already found guilty “perp”. She is not a human being.

Yeah like “ If she wasn’t breaking the law this wouldn’t have happened”. I hope she sues the city of Toledo or whoever’s department these donut munchers came from into oblivion.

The only place I could come up with that would be equally dangerous to park a car would be on an active aircraft runway.

She was very lucky indeed and will now come into a fortune.

She is disfigured and likely has painful injuries which will be with her for the rest of her life. Money does not make up for everything.

Those cops should be fired, prosecuted, and jailed.

stare uncomprehendingly when a train comes straight at them, followed by a cowardly panic as they run away from their own vehicle?

As we saw in Uvadle, that is standard police procedure now. Get all armored up, get your AR-15, and run like heck from danger.

Police detained her for an alleged road rage incident earlier in the night

It was a report of a road rage incident with a gun. She said she didn't know why she was being pulled over. The police asked her if there was a weapon, she said no. They searched the car, and couldn't find a gun, speculating she might have thrown it out of the car.

After the train crash, more officers come and search the car, and only then do they magically find the gun.

That is what this level of incompetence and careless regard for human life rises to.

At least 6 cops on scene and no one seen or heard the train?
Everyone of them would be suspended w/o pay. At least one fired and recommended for charges to the DA.

Those guys running out of the way reminded me of the point man in the hall in Uvalde school shoot. First shot whiffs his hair and he is running away at full speed. How embarrassing .

One thing I’ve noticed about re-watching the MST3K episodes.... they don’t age well. More than 50% of their quips are relevant to the contemporary topical issues of the day.

Agree with Laz, we are now in a time when The Onion and Babylon Bee are more newsworthy than the ‘news’.
