At one point Camilla got hacked off at Charlotte and told Kate to take her. Maybe it was during this. George pinched Charlotte, Charlotte says OW...and then Camilla wanted Kate to intervene.

The two new Corgis were from Andrew and his family with the understanding that they would care for them when needed.

The horse and the corgis greeting the funeral procession brought tears to my eyes.

Same here! Same for the lone pipers at the end of the ceremonies in the two churches (Westminster Abbey and St. George's Chapel, Westminster).

It was an absolutely beautiful—and visually stunning—send off for a very great woman. England will never see a leader like that again, I’m afraid. I have great hopes for William and George, but I’m afraid they’ll be ruling in a very different world and the monarchy could be in real danger by then.

I have an affinity for England because I lived there for 5 years as a little girl when my Dad was stationed there. We lived off base in Margate, Hayes, and East Ruislip, so I had a lot of interaction with the British ppl. My mother was also born and raised in Manchester and came to the States in 1950 to marry my USAF father whom she’d met 2 years earlier. Interestingly, I only have 12% English DNA according to Ancestry, with the rest being Irish, Scottish & Welsh.

QE2’s personal piper would wake her daily with a skirl of the bagpipes. The final tune of her state funeral service was Sleep, Dearie, Sleep.
